The Amazon.com review above says "This PIXMA MP620 All-In-One's built-in Wi-Fi capability lets you print wirelessly from anywhere in the house, with simple setup." I laughed out loud when I saw this. You know you are in trouble when the Quick Start guide refers you to the manual itself, and the manual has a two-page flowchart of which pages in which order (no, they are not sequential) that you need to follow so that you can print from the unit wirelessly (not shared from a computer, but wirelessly from your home network). I have spent two days trying to get wireless printing to work through my Macs on a Time Capsule wifi network. I have come to believe that it simply cannot be done. It's like our economic recovery stimulus package: it looks like it can do it, it might go for awhile, but it won't last. In any case, I don't have the time to tinker with log files and manual settings in order to guess the right magical combination (see this thread: [..].I'm very surprised that Apple encourages people to buy these when they purchase a new Mac: the shockingly difficult setup does not mirror Apple's reputation at all. If you own Macs and you want the unit connected to the network wirelessly I encourage you to look at the manuals for this printer online and the above discussion thread before purchasing so you know what you are getting into. Consider asking for a few days off work when it arrives because you are going to need them.

this printer so far has been working almost perfectly. was easier to set up than i thought it would be - took about an hour. print quality is really good. wireless capabilities are usually great - but if i forget to turn the printer on before i start my print job i end up having to restart my computer at times. printing is also a bit slow, takes a bit for the printer to start a job. but considering this is not a high volume printer and the print quality is really good, i guess i can't expect it to print fast.
i hear this printer is an ink guzzler - however i've heard the same about every ink jet. the pro about this printer is that it has a separate ink tank for each color, so you don't have to buy an expensive multi-color tank when you run out of just one color.
i'd recommend this printer.

I had a cheap-but-good all-in-one Lexmark before this, and when it finally died, I decided to treat myself to this well-reviewed new model. For my purposes, it's just as good as other positive reviewers said it was-- clear pictures, easy to install, and I've had no hassles at all from it.

The only bad thing is that it has no fax capacity. My last "all-in-one" printer included a built-in fax machine. I didn't even look for that in the specs here because I believed that ALL "all-in-ones" included fax machines. I thought that was part of the "all-in-one" label. So I was very disappointed when I figured this out after I had already set it up and mangled the box. If I had realized it first, I would have returned it. I don't have the extra desk space (or the extra money) for a separate fax. (The fax wound up in another room.) Every time I look at that darn fax, it's a reminder to me to do better research before buying big-ticket items. So I thought I'd post this review here to warn someone else like me. ;)

Happy with purchase. Prints well. Set up wasn't hard, and when I did have problems the help desk was great and walked me through them.

If you are looking for a great multifunction printer, then the Canon PIXMA MP620 is the one. After about 30-45 minutes of set up time, you will be printing amazing quality photos, rivaling the ones from your local photo lab! There are some things to note, however, as this printer is not flawless. The points of interest are summarized below:

NOTEWORTHY PROS:
+ Great quality prints
+ Intuitive interface with built-in templates
+ No computer required
+ Wired and wireless networking capabilities
+ Individual, reasonably-priced inks
+ Easy, high-res scanning, even over the network
+ Memory card slots appear in "My Computer" as a network drive
+ Solid feel, sleek design

POTENTIAL CONS:
- Lacks native support for xD memory cards (adapter required)
- A bit slow to begin printing
- Does not read pictures from a USB flash drive (but will scan to one)
- Lacks automatic duplex printing

I found the printer to be incredibly easy to set up using the supplied instructions. Granted, the amount of documentation included for how to handle the ink cartridges and print head could be eliminated in favor of a more complete guide on how to perform basic tasks with the printer. Even so, the printer includes an electronic manual that you can select to install when you run the CD.

My only real disappointment with the printer thus far has been the lack of an xD memory card slot. Though not at the forefront, the xD format is still a major player and the lack of support on this printer is a bit of a put off. Additionally, the MP620 does not include duplex printing, a feature that I have seen on other models at this price range. If this poses a problem, you may want to look at the Canon PIXMA MP980, which does have this feature, among others, including a larger screen and film negative scanning. Though the MP620 is a bit slow off the line, its sharp text and vibrant photos are worth the wait. Besides, any time lost printing will be made up scanning, as I found that this multifunction scans rather rapidly (much more so than my old scanner). It can also scan photos directly to memory cards and USB flash drives, without a computer. I found it a little strange though that this printer cannot read photos from a USB flash drive, even the ones it scanned and placed on there itself. This doesn't pose a huge problem, and for the photos it reads from memory cards, it can print using a variety of templates, including calendars, photo index sheets, and picture packages.

All in all, if you are confused about which printer to buy, or are just looking for a printer you can trust, look no further than the Canon PIXMA MP620. Its rock-solid features and stunning picture quality will no doubt leave you satisfied.

This Canon printer delivers more than I expected. Having been a satisfied Canon printer user for over 7 years (the same printer all that time), I felt it was time to upgrade to a model that prints photos and scans and copies whatever I needed. This printer is also wireless so that I can expand its usage to a laptop or other computer in the home without all the hassle of wires ( I've got enough of those already). So far, it has performed flawlessly. Although the compete operations manual is included in the software and must be viewed on your computer, there is an option to print it out if desired. I'm one of those people who reads everything, so I would have liked to have a hard copy of the manual without having to print it. But this is a printer I would recommend to anyone...and the price is certainly right.

I absolutely love this all in one printer! It does everything that I want it to do and it's very user friendly. The wireless printing was a bit of a pain to set up, but that was due to a router setting that didn't work with the printer. No worries, the directions are very step by step and pretty easy for everyone to understand. I haven't tried the picture printing feature yet, but I have no doubt it will be great.

Have had the Canon Printer for one month after owning HP Printers for years. Canon Printer is excellent.

I have the mp600 in the upper office room and got the mp620 for downstairs and for the wirelrss feature. It works great, easy setup, except it doesn't have an external change paper feed tray button like the mp600. I haven't been able to do 2 sided printing because I haven't figured out how to use the upper tray, although I must admit I haven't spent much time on it.

great little printer/scanner/copier! there's no real reason to fax stuff anymore since you could very well scan a document and then send via e-mail, so that's why we didn't opt for the bigger version. the size is a little bigger than we thought, but only because the flat bed scanner has to be as big as an 8 1/2" x 11". great quality, super fast, easy to use and love the wireless connection. it doesn't always sync up correctly during scanning, but could be a configuration problem on my end. didn't try to print any pictures yet, but scans pictures great! i'd suggest it!
