"THIS PHONE HAS REALLY BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT" 2009-09-14
By Andrea Ferrara (New Jersey)
I ordered this Uniden Dect telephone about 3 weeks ago and I am highly disappointed. I was always led to believe that Uniden was a good name of cordless phone manufacturers. However, after receiving this phone and using it for the past 3 weeks I deplore its performance. First off, when speaking on the phone I hear a constant echo of my own voice and secondly, when using the speaker phone feature, the sound cuts out throughout the entire conversation.
I have sent an e-mail to Uniden about these issues and am now waiting for a response from them with a solution. I do not feel very confident to say the least.

"Like this phone system very much" 2009-07-18
By Margaret A. Woolfork
My neighbor had this phone system with several head sets that she purchased from a local store. She loaned me one of her headsets when
our digital phone modems were hit by lightning and I could use her phone
head set from
across the street. I ordered this phone system with 2 head sets for my husband for Father's day. we both like it very much and he uses the
intercom feature quite often to page me in the house.

"Sorry, Not Impressed" 2009-07-18
By PG (East Coast)
Received it, charged it, used it for a day, unplugged it, boxed it up, sent it back.
I purchased this phone to replace a GE 2.4 GHz cordeless set with buttons that no longer work when pressed. Up until now the GE has been a really good phone with excellent sound quality.
I assumed the latest DECT 6.0 technology would have an equal, if not better, sound quality than my old 2.4 GHz so I was surprised to find that the sound quality was worse. I found this Uniden to have a tin can, almost muffley sound to it that was annoying. I didn't even want to give it time to see if it was something I could get used to so I sent it back.
I'm hoping the problem is the Uniden phone itself and not the DECT 6.0 technology because I turned around and ordered a GE28851FE2 w/DECT 6.0. I haven't received it yet so the jury still out.
Bottom line is, if you're used to clear sound quality you're going to notice a difference with this phone and I don't mean for the better. If you're used to muffled sound quality then you might like the features of this phone.
UPDATE: Received my GE phone and the sound quality is HEAD OVER HEALS BETTER than this Uniden. Not just that but I like pretty much everything about the GE better...the curve of the phone, the ring tone selection, the free GOOG411 button, everything. Sorry Uniden.

"We like it!" 2009-04-09
By J. Long (New Hampshire)
We bought this one month ago. This is a great machine chocked full of features. It is easy to use, good sound quality, great value. The only thing we wish it had was a memo feature so we can leave messages ourselves. We are very happy with it otherwise.

"Panasonic Cordless" 2009-09-23
By Tagger
Very user friendly cordless phone with great range from base. Maintains charge a long time, has extremely clear sound and volume. Price is reasonable. The only negative is that store merchants don't carry the individual phones. They are only available for purchase on the internet.

"Phone Cuts Out Repeatedly!" 2009-09-20
By Robby's mom (North Carolina, USA)
Wow, was I relieved to see that the reviewer below had experienced a problem identical to my own. It does make me wonder what the folks at Panasonic are thinking by marketing this phone. There is something terribly wrong with it. I've kicked myself many times for having purchased this system. Like the reviewer below, all of my handsets do the same thing. They cut out without warning. The voice at the other end of the line begins to fade and the next thing you know, you're running to another room to pick up another handset. I've been through the whole process described below of unplugging all of the handsets and removing the batteries and putting them all together again. Not fun. Then they will work for a short time and go right back to malfunctioning. After numerous conversations with Panasonic Tech Support I finally got fed up and said, where do I send these back. And I did send them and they were replaced under warranty. Duh, the replacement phones do exactly the same thing. Do not buy this model. Something is wrong in the design. You may get a good one, you may get one like mine. Not worth it. Destroyed my faith in Panasonic.

"Good but with problems" 2009-09-14
By Christina W. Li (Canada)
The phone reception is good, i have the base planted on the 2nd floor of my house and still can hear just fine down at the basement. My only problem is when you create a new answering machine greeting the phone, it will always display "new voice mail" even tho there is none. If anyone can help fix this please tell me cause its getting dam annoying..

"Panasonic Built a good One." 2009-09-13
By Jerry J. Townsend (California)
We have the Panasonic Dect 6.0 answering device and a total of six (6)Panasonic Dect 6.o mobile telephones.I'm older(76)and have had many different telephones over the years, but this telephone is the best all around phone that I have owned. The only downer is that navigating sometimes is confusing and a little difficult to follow. Other than that, I have nothing but good things to say about this telephone and recommend it above all others that I have had in the past..

I added 2 phones to an existing system of threee handsets. These are excellent phones. The additional phones were very easy to program into the existing system. I highly recommend them.

"Great Phone" 2009-09-05
By R. Vera (Long Beach, CA)
First and foremost. I love Panasonic Phones. I think they make the best home phones. Even though no one really has a land line anymore, I still do. This phone is the best phone I've had and I love it. Only negative that I can think of is there is no "Locate Button" incase you can't find the handset. Other than that the thing works like a gem.

"Love this phone!" 2009-08-11
By Deborah J. Behrman (Los Gatos, CA United States)
I needed a phone to replace my very old 2 line phone with answering machine, and it was hard to find one. I finally found this one and it works great. The instructions were reasonably clear (I set it up myself) and it works as described. The sound is good, the answering machine can be set separately for each line, the buttons on the handset are well lit. At this point I've had the phone about 2 months, and I couldn't be happier with it.

"Bad phone, bad service" 2009-08-06
By anonymous
Although it worked fine for a couple of years, this phone and the customer service from Panasonic turned out to be a headache, and I would not recommend that anyone buy this phone or any other Panasonic phone for that matter.
I own two of these phones; I have two separate bases, one with two handsets and the other with one handset. Around the same time, after being used for only two years, the answering systems on both phones began to malfunction. I could no longer delete messages or record a new voicemail greeting. The phone itself still worked fine, but it was of no use to me without a functioning answering system.
This product, which was supposed to be top-of-the line, obviously has some sort of design error or manufacturing error. I used the answering machine quite infrequently, so the problem could not be attributed to overuse. The fact that both phones are showing similar symptoms leads me to believe that there is a major fault in this model.
The only advice I received from the customer service representative from Panasonic was to a) send them in to get fixed for a service charge of $80 per phone, b) buy a new phone, or c) send them in and receive replacement, refurbished Panasonic phones. The "help"
they offered me was disgusting. There is no way I will ever touch a Panasonic product again, and there is no way I can go without a phone for a long period of time in order to send it to Texas for repairs.
Do NOT buy this phone if you are looking for a quality product.

"Nice phone for the money" 2009-04-21
By A. Radford (So California)
I read through the reviews here on Amazon, but personally, I don't have a problem with anything mentioned so far. I like the size of the handset... My last Panasonic 2-line cordless (KX-TG2480) has a huge bulky handset which, by the way, started having problems; keypad stopped working properly. I was a bit skeptical to buy another, but I like this phone and I've generally had good luck with Panasonic products.
Anyway, setup was a breeze. You can record different outgoing messages for each line which is nice. Outgoing message sound quality is typical...Not any worse than my Uniden at home. Speaker phone with handset or base; Keypad on base; Intercom; Check messages remotely; Conference call; Caller ID... What else do you need?

"Good, solid phone" 2009-04-14
By Lee Harris (Jackson, WY USA)
This is the 2nd one of these I've bought. Works well, good range. Took some manual reading on the first one to figure out the menu system. Minor annoyance is that the 'missed calls' counter seems to count all calls, but I'm not sure, and it doesn't matter to me anyway. Speakerphone on each handset works very well. Got the new one through Amazon at the same price as used ones were auctioning for on eBay.

Product Description
The Photo Phone P-300 allows you to dial a number simply by pressing a picture. With its powerful, built-in amplifier and large, easy-to-see keypad, using the phone has never been easier! PRODUCT FEATURES: Nine (9) photo memory buttons; Adjustable amplifier makes calls up to 20 dB; Adjustable Tone Control makes similar sounding words crystal clear and easy to understand; Advanced electronics minimize background noise and enhance speech
clarity; Hearing aid T-coil compatible handset; Adjustable loud ringer and bright flasher announce incoming calls; Large, easy-to-see buttons make dialing easy; Redial, Hold and Flash buttons.

This phone has given my husband, who has Alzheimers, independence. He now can call his folks, his friend, or my cell with a simple touch. I also love the phone which is perfect to use with or without my hearing aids. I just press a button for amplification. The ringer also can be adjusted. I'm thinking of purchasing multiple units. Downside? We are so used to portables, the earpiece cord isn't long enough to go very far from the phone itself.

The phone works advertised and despite the absence of a rotary dial my 90+ parents use it.

We bought this phone to replace an older large button phone which was gradually losing receiver volume. This phone has been wonderful for my wife who is in a nursing home, and has vision problems. The one-button auto dial feature is ideal for her, and the sound quality is excellent. I would recommend this phone to anyone with similiar needs.

I got this phone for my mother with Alzheimers. I was hoping that using photos would be the answer as numbers are not working with her anymore. Problem is... the place for photos is so small... it isn't possible to put photos- so we just used their people images and wrote names underneath. Not perfect but the only phone available that is close to this. Also- too many other adjustments available- not great for alzheimers patients- they mess with other things- so I had to tape those down. There is no perfection!

I was looking for a phone for my 87 y.o. dad who has good enough hearing, but cannot see well. I had a hard time finding a phone without an answering machine, multiple lines, caller id, etc. All of those things would make the phone too confusing for him to use. All I wanted was a phone that had large buttons and speed dial. This phone is perfect. I like the fact that the speed dial buttons are large as well. I programmed the speed dial numbers for him and he is a happy camper. With the new rules requiring 10 digit dialing, the speed dial is essential!

The buttons are very large and easy to find . The fact that you can put a photo over the button for easy recognition is great. You just pick up the receiver and push one button and you are connected to the number. My mother is 95 years old and can now independently call those closest to her with no difficulty.

My dad recently came to live with us. He is completely deaf in one ear and not too much better in the other. This works great. He talks to all of his friends and family with very few what did you says.

The amplication and easy photo speed dial made a big difference for my mother. Because of a slight hearing loss and an inability to dial a long number successfully, she has been cut off from some family members. Now, she pushes one button and reaches the person she wants and can hear what they are saying. Very happy with the purchase.

My parents are elderly & my father can use this phone. The buttons worked as they were supposed to on set-up. Very easy process. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked as easily as advertised.

I purchased this phone for my mother who is 89. It is perfect for her. It has large easy to see and easy to push numbers. The memory auto dial has the option of placing pictures of the person being called beneath the button, so she does not have to read a name or remember which number goes with which person. I have placed my picture and the picture of my two brothers each under a selected button and programed the respective button with the number for that person. Of course there is the autodial button to push for an emergency ~ it is lit at all times with a small red light. For the hard of hearing, there are a varity of settings for the ring volume and the handset volume (ear piece). In addition, when the phone rings a red light across the entire base of the phone flashes, alerting the hard of hearing person that the phone is ringing. The phone is solid, well made, easy to use and has a clear crisp sound for the listener. I would highly recommend this phone for the elderly, sight or hearing impaired, or a mentally/physically handicapped person who finds using a regular phone difficult.

I don't know why people complain about this thing so much. I LOVE it. Some have complained about audio quality but I haven't seen any issues with it. Infact, it has two little dials on the side, one for volume, and one for "tone", the tone is especially helpful, for if somebodies line is really fuzzy and hard to hear, you can play with the "tone" and make it easier to hear. Also if their voice is really annoying... you can adjust it to be easier on your ears.
I'm an interpreter and it's important that I hear clearly what's being said, and I love this piece of equipment for make that a LOT easier.
Woot, Freaking, Yeah!

i really like my Plantronics headset and phone combo. The need for a headset for my home office was essential. Not only does it already have a dialer key pad but the handsfree option makes the day go by some much smoother and more productive without having to use 1 hand to hold a phone handset. I give the Plantronics and 8 out of 10. and thats only because i had to turn into a Mcgiver to get some things back to normal. i opened the box to some things shaking around, it turned out to be the tone and volume knobs which are adjustable and some how came off. who knows why? i broke out some tools opened up the phone screwed back in the 2 knobs and everything has been great since!

When I bought this phone I was not sure if I had made the right choice, but once I started to use it. It was wonderful. very practical I love the use of the mute button. It controls the backgroud noice very well. I like the light function to let me know that it is in use. I think I make a very good choice with the purchase of the T10 phone. Thank you
Sincerely,
Martha Ryan

there was a loud humming in this headset, so i contacted plantronics and they sent me a replacement which still had a loud humming in it. i even had my local phone company come out and test/check the lines... and everything was good on my end.
still stuck with a headsent that hums

This is the best hands free phone I have gotten
I need hands free when i help people on line with
a special program we have and this phone has saved
the day many times

I purchased the Plantronics T10 for a home based job that required a lot of phone work. After 8 hours a day for 5 straight days, I had no issues with discomfort from the headset.
The sound is great, and the person on the other side of the line had no problems with hearing or understanding me.

i enjoy this Plantronics T10 corded headset phone. it does all I could ask for and I enjoy the freedom it suppliesPlantronics T10 Corded Headset Phone

sent item back, couldn't hear customer and customer couldn't hear me ,beacause of all the buzzing noise would not ever buy again.

Headset is ok.
There is no Silent alert function, which is silly for a headset only phone setup. It has to ring to base unit.
The headband is large, most women will find it too large to wear comfortably
The mic on the headset is poor, people can barely hear you. This was tried calling several people, with different users on the headset. All produced poor call quality.
The volume is a minimal adjustment. It is definately not amplified.
Tone was a nice feature, but again, minor adjustment. Not like the tone settings on a radio for instance, from 1-10. But more like from 5-6
Poor product, plan on returning it.
The earpiece is also silly, hard plastic, so if you plan to wear on the ear, it will be unconfortable for extended wear.

After reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to still go ahead and pick this headset up. The concept of the phone is fantastic, a small footprint and very intuitive controls. The large buttons and lights make it easy to tell when the line is active and mute is on.
The big problem with this phone is line noise. After using it for a day, I have to retire this phone as it is completely unusable. The noise can be heard on both sides of the call. Also, I tried two different phone lines at two different houses, same result. Other coredless phones sound perfectly clear on the same lines.
