"Misrepresented" 2009-05-23
By Ima Outlaw (San Diego, CA)
The phone was advertised a new, but the box had been opened when I received it and showed evidence of having been used. It was DOA and would not work. Seller was slow in refunding my money.
Probably a great phone, but I wouldn't buy it from the internet where I just couldn't return it to the store.

"Very satisfied!!" 2009-04-03
By I. Marchena (South Florida)
Very durable, good sound and the 3 phones are perfect for my home. I have one upstairs and two downstairs. They have gotten through so much abuse and are still ticking. Imagine having 3 teenage boys!
Definitely a great buy!!

"The best!!" 2009-03-19
By Theodore J. Evans
I have the base and three stations. This is so easy to use & program. Excellent manual. I especially like the ability to store all my business and friends and family on an easy to use built in phone book. It's not at all like a speed dial. After entering the name, and your choice of one or two numbers, (home or cell #) or whatever. Hit the phone book icon and the first letter of the persons name and find all your aunts & uncles.. You can program incoming ring sounds so you can tell if it friend or foe before you pick up. Don't want it to ring while your asleep, no problem. Want it to automatically upon pick up to be able to talk, no button press. No problem.. There are so many cool and programmable features with this phone system I could go on and on.

"DO NOT PURCHASE bf READING THIS" 2009-02-20
By D. (Oklahoma)
read all over the internet about this phone to ensure I wasn't making a mistake. Well I did the line 1 echoes and after ensuring it was not my phone provider, I typed in the model number and the word echo. I found lots of people have had the same problem that I did right out of the box. I tried to contact Uniden support which they responded within 2 days expect gave me info that didn't resolve my problem, so I told them that what they said did not resolve my problem, they replied with hours with a solution which didn't work. I would not purchase this product.

Product Description
Distinctive ring and line-in-use indicators for each line. 10-number memory, 1-touch redial and Handset and rin
ger volume control.

This GE two line phone is just what I needed. I have an office down stairs, and I wanted to start using MagicJack for my long distance phone calls. So now I have a line for the MagicJack and one for local calls.

Super-fast delivery and an excellent product.
This phone looks great and does everything advertised.

I'm very pleased with this phone... it is well-built and of good quality. The line selector buttons are large and easy to push. There are two distinctive rings for the 2 phone lines so you know which one is ringing. Ideally the phone would also have a caller ID screen but at this price I'm happy. It is very difficult to find corded two-line phones these days.
I mounted this one on the wall in a snap...it works nicely as a wall or a desk phone.

Very basic phone but does everything I need it to do. Build quality appears very good and sound quality is also very good. No complaints at all with it.

For those of us who object to the teeny "portable" phones based on size, energy used, and "can't prop under a chin while doing something with your hands" ....this small footprint 2 line/conferencing baby does it. Price is right. I got 2 since I'm sure they will stop making them (can't find a "land line" at any of the big box stores just the above. Humbug, off to Amazon!! I'm pretty hard on phones, so they don't last as long as the bricks in your grandmother's house - -so that said, I'm very pleased with these and have several.

I'm in college and couldn't afford buying a TI-87? or 93? (can't remember what is what) but anyways, this does the job. I'll eventually end up buying the more expensive calculators but in the mean time- I use this calculator every other day and it holds up well. I strongly recommend this product for a high school student or a beginning college student. Otherwise, if you have the extra cash, you should just invest in the more expensive texas instrument calculator to save you from having to buy two calculators!

Well, it's a scientific calculator some of my classes required. It does scientific functions and stuff, has solar power... really it's just an everyday calculator, not much to say, but it works just fine.

This is an ok calculator: it does the job, has a reasonably good feature set, and reasonably good display. The buttons feel cheap and don't always respond; the cover is a piece of junk and has never properly locked in place. This is an inexpensive calculator and that is reflected in the quality of the components. If you need a calculator for occasional use, this one will do fine; if you want a calculator that you will like using regularly or for many years, look elsewhere.

The calculator is fine, but I would not recommend it to anyone used to TI graphing calculators with many more lines of text input and output visible. Only having two lines is a disappointment, and makes keeping track of longer computations more difficult.

9.99, what can you expect? In fact, this calculator has more functions than I first thought and it works fine.

I have order this calculater a while ago. I was mad that the price of shipping is not clear. Moreover, I have recieved this item a week later than it supposed to be diliver. Therefore, I wrote a letter to the customer service. They reply me right the way with a full refund on the shipping. I recived the item with good quality eventually.

First of all: I own a bunch of different calculators from the TI line, the TI-30, the TI-84, TI-89, and I owned a TI-83 at one point.
Ok, this calculator, the TI-30X IIS works, but I have an issue with the buttons.
The keys feel sticky almost.
Some times you push them, but the number doesn't register. You have to press with exactly the right amount of force to get it to register. And the tolerance for that force is very small. If you press down just a tiny bit to hard, or use just a tiny bit less force, the key-press doesn't register.
That said, the calculator works, and it has two lines of text.
The only reason I got this calculator was that I needed it for General Chemistry.

----------------------
Update: TI just released the TI-30XS MultiView Calculator for a similar price and it is much, much better. The buttons work great and they've also improved on a lot of other features.
----------------------
I bought this calculator to take the FE exam. There are only a handful of approved calculators and so I chose this for the following reasons:
- Two line display
- I've been using a TI-83 Plus for almost 10 years and I thought that this would be easy to learn
- Solar - don't have to worry about batteries
- Inexpensive
I've been sorely disappointed with this calculator. The buttons are horrible! What good is a calculator if I can't type the information correctly? Also, the case is awkward and flimsy. Don't expect the same type of quality that you get with the graphic calculators, TI cut corners on this one. I don't recommend this calculator if you are going to be under tight time constraints because you will waste a lot of time fixing typing errors.
I've also had issues with the transition to a non-graphing calculator. It hasn't been as straight forward as I was hoping and the documentation is awful. I figure, if I'm going to have to learn a new system, I might as well go with a better calculator. I will likely go with the HP 33S Scientific Calculator (F2216A) and save this one as a backup for the exam.

I bought this calculator specifically because it was the scientific calculator approved for use on SOA/CAS actuarial exams. It has some nice features for such an inexpensive calculator. Its two line display is nice for keeping track of what you've done and avoiding typos, and it can do some fairly heavy duty statistics. It's also very easy to chain commands together.
I have almost never used this calculator outside of exams. Everything it does well is faster and easier with a graphing calculator (I've regularly used a TI-82 and a TI-84 Plus).
I've had to buy 2 of these because the first one I bought broke after about three months. The second has worked fine for over two years.

DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE.
I am not a very fast typer but this calculator is too slow and does not accept the keystrokes if not enough time is given in-between the key strokes.
Hence I almost always mess up the calculation.
