What can I say? They are toner cartridges? I do find that if I shake the cartridge a little when the printer says it is low, that I get another month out of it.
I appreciate the other reviews telling about turning the gear wheel on the side! That is very helpful! Often a cartridge still has life in it when the printer is finished with its count. Especially with the color lasers used as the primary printer with mostly black pages printing.

These toners are easy to install. One thing though, after the first warning of these toners being low I take them out and check the little round window to see if there is still toner. If there is, I wind back the gear with a peg on it back to its original position. I recently did this with all three colors as it was reported they were going low. After winding back the gears, the printer performed perfectly for another month with a moderate amount of color printing. Finally, the low toner warnings went off again and since there appeared no more toner, I installed new ones. I have a closet full of these consumables and look forward to many great years printing with these printers. (We have 6 of them)

This is a typical OEM toner. I feel safer using these in the printer since it is being used in a small business. The page yield was disappointing but when you need to print you need toner. With free shipping Amazon had the best deal on this item.

The yield claimed by brother is contrary to my experience with my printer.
I'm getting a bit less than half the life claimed per toner cartridge by Brother.
Before you buy a brother printer, calculate the ink cost. My estimate is about 20 cents per page to use this printer just for ink when doing color, about 6 cents when doing black and white.

Not as good as other replacement cartridges I have purchased elsewhere.
They did ship a replacement very quickly, but the replacement cartridge makes a loud snapping sound,and does not print darkly or evenly. However this is only for home use, so it hasn't been worth the time and effort to ask for another replacement(unless it really fades in an unreasonably short period of time). I was impressed with their fast communication and feel they are a good company.
I have always used the new Brother cartridge rather than rebuilt. I always get the full advertised life out of it and have had no problems after years of use in my Brother MFC 9600 multi function printer/copier/scanner.
If you do a huge volume of printing/copying it might be worth trying a rebuilt/refilled generic cartridge just to see what results you get. Brother makes a cheaper cartridge that looks just like this one, but has a very short life. It's the one they ship in new machines. Stay away from that, it's really just a demo cartridge. Ran out of toner in about a week after I got my machine new.
Brother TN460 High Yield Toner Cartridge
What was delivered was apparently not an original TN460 Cartridge from Brother. It had been poorly re-packaged with the spindle broken, making it inoperable. It appears that this was a used cartridge re-filled with toner, which had spilled throughout the plastic bag. Not what was expected and completely useless.
Cartridges, when shipped, arrived quickly and well packed. However some vendors won't ship to Hawaii. A few have not fit into the drum properly and had to be discarded.
I always purchase Brother manufactured ink. It may cost a little more than the no-name brand, but you never have ANY problems with it!

It is right there on the HL-2070N page. I have been trying to get a refund from Amazon and they were supposed to send me a return shipping label in the mail but 1 week later no label.
This ain't cheap, but it's worth it. I've learned my lesson buying cheaper toner cartridges, but they don't even come close to the quality and longevity of the Brother brand. You get what you pay for...
I have gone through two Brother HL-1250 printers that use this cartridge and it's a real work horse. I've printed as many as 900 or 1000 pages in one day and it just keeps humming along. I once tried to refill the toner myself and that was a disaster...black pages started coming out! And yes I did empty the old cartridge before refilling it. Now I just buy the toner cartages. Its nice to be able to print a big document without worrying about jams or spending a fortune...or having to load paper that often. I now use the pre-punched paper and my printing is easy and cheap! The cartridge gets about 5,000 to 6,000 pages and the drum unit gets about 25,000 pages... so cost per page not including paper is around 1.4 cents. Not too bad.
Perfect for text and internet web pages ect. Pics come out good for a monochrome but nothing fantastic. Maybe its my HL-1250? Graphic artist or people doing high end work or high volume printing may want something better... but for my 900 to 1,800 pages per month needs... its perfect.
I have bought 3 of these and they work well. They are reliable and they print thousands of pages, although I have never done a count. I recommend this as an economical solution to quality monochrome printing that would work for home or office. I cannot recommend this product against generic or no-name versions, but I can confirm that it provides a very high level of quality for value when compared to HP and other more expensive printers.
