This is a laminated tape (black on clear) used with labeling systems (P-touch) produced by brother company noticed by its high quality production.brother's laminated tapes consist of six layers of materials, resulting in thin, yet extremely strong, labels. Characters formed with thermal transfer ink are actually printed onto the underside of a laminate. Sandwiched between two layers of PET (polyethylene) film, the characters are virtually indestructible.

The cartridge is the usual Brother quality (excellent) but I didn't realize how thin 1/4 inch is. I use these labels on DVD's of my son's football games and found this tape to be way too thin. Will buy the brand again, but not this width.


Brother TZ tapes are the gold standard. This multi-layered, laminated tape can withstand cold, heat, water and mild abrasion without losing the integrity of the words printed on it.
