If you want a pen that writes finer than the V7(FINE), try the V5's(EXTRA FINE) they have a really fine point. It almost "scratches" the paper that you are writing on. They make more than just the V7's. Check it out. I will not write with anyother pen. The only negative about the pen, is the fact that the ink does not last very long during normal usage.


I write a lot every day. I have tried virtually every pen from every manufacturer over the last ten years, including gels and fountain pens. No pen I have ever used has had the combination of smooth flowing, semi-bold ink, that doesn't leak or smear. The retractable design was a clincher for me. Excellent value for the money. I liked the V5 also but it was a little too fine for me style of writing. Surprisingly long lasting.


I was excited when I first saw this pen thinking that it would be able to produce a very fine line, but that's not the case. There is nothing fine about the way this pen writes. I find that the Pilot G-2's write finer than this one. Overall a bad pen.
