What an Awesome little machine!

I'm a certified printer techie that has worked on HP machines for years. The quality of HP printers has been getting progressively worse and worse. Canon is just about as bad and worse in some ways.

This machine is amazingly simple and easy to use. It worked perfectly the first time right out of the box! I've NEVER had an HP printer do that. HP usually has driver problems which are frustrating and a real pain. My advice: stop buying stodgy old unreliable printers and get yourself one of these hot mama's!

They're very inexpensive, you just can't get this kind of laser quality for so few bucks!

Its fast and has a unique anti-jam roller function. My God! I wish HP had gotten THAT one right!

No doubt, SAMSUNG makes the best electronics in the world right now, from LCD's to lasers, take my advice and get a SAMSUNG!

Cheers

Bought the first one a year ago. Every time I turn it on my computer would reboot by itself, lights start flashing. After 5~6 times my UPS got burned by it. I think the printer draw unusually large amount of current, which caused interruption in the electric system. A few days ago I bought the 2nd one in the hope the first one was a lemo. Guess what? The 2nd one does exactly the same thing! I have a Samsung LCD TV which also has tons of issues. I swear this is the last Korean made item I ever buy!

Died after just one year of light usage. My old HP last more than 10 years.

Got this printer over a year ago. Paid about $90 for it.
Very light usage. Once a week.

The print starting looking lighter last month and the red light came
on.
I took out the cartridge and rolled it around per the manual,
but it still reads "Low Toner" on the test page print-out.
Now, at 441 pages.

Feels like I've been cheated out of 560 pages!

I've ordered a new 3000 page cartridge (clone) to use when the
OEM 'starter' cartridge fails completely.

Never had a paper jam. Noise less than the old NEC Laser printers
that I've used.

Had the 'starter' cartridge lasted 1,000 pages, it would have been a
good deal at $90.. For $50, the ML-2510 is really a fantastic deal!

Cheers,
Rich

Although this printer prints great, I am reluctant to recommend it for the following reasons:

1) footprint is larger than comparable compact personal laser printer by HP;
2) noisier than my HP laserjet
3) takes longer to warm-up (I don't leave my printer on)

This product is not temperamental, difficult to operate, or slow. It grinds out copies of very high quality with surprising speed, never jams, and lives up fully to the manufacturer's description. I am particularly pleased that I easily can refill the toner cartridge myself with after-market product, and greatly reduce my cost per copy.

This printer worked great for the first few months. Now it will print a page or two then stops. Open and close the front cover, it tries again, moves the top sheet a half inch, and stops. Will have to buy another printer.

I haven't had any of the major problems that I see being reported on Amazon. It's worked fairly flawlessly since I bought it. My issues are with the toner - I only got 500 pages printed instead of the usual 1000. And once the unit sense that you are "low" on toner, it refuses to print. Let me decide when I'm ready to replace!

I bought this Samsung printer to replace my college-age daughter's Brother laser printer to work with her MacBook. The Samsung's price, small size, and company reputation convinced me to get this, and I'm glad I did. The printer comes with two CDs, one for Windows Vista and one for non-specified OS, which definitely contains the drivers for Macs, OS X 10.3 and up. Windows ME/NT and several Linux OS (Red Hat 8-9, Fedora Core 1-3, Mandrake 9.2-10.1 and SuSE 8.2-9.2) are also supported. I was able to get the printer up-and-running on two different Macs, with different versions of OS X, within minutes.

A power cord, paper dust cover, and a laser toner cartridge are also included. Customers will have to purchase separately a USB-to-printer cable such as Belkin F3U133-06 Pro Series Hi-Speed USB Cable (Six-Feet) or use whatever they use now to hook up their computer. The speed is decent, up to 25 ppm, and the quality is typical monochrome laser. Although it is a little noisy on start up, this compact laser printer prints smoothly and relatively quietly once it gets going.

Don't expect heavy-duty construction. It weighs a lot less than most laser printers, and the price reflects it. Still, this creates a high-quality end product for those on a budget or with limited shelf space. Also look at Brother HL-2040 Monochrome Laser Printer
